I’ve spent 14+ years photographing thousands of women. What I learned is that most women don’t really hate the camera. They hate what it represents: being seen.

In my TEDx talk, I explore why so many women learn to make themselves smaller, why being seen before we feel ready can feel terrifying, and what changes when we deliberately practise taking up space.you’re about to find out why.

Everything you want is on the other side of letting yourself be seen.

the world needs you to stop shrinking

This isn’t one talk. It’s the work I’ve been doing for more than a decade.

My work explores visibility, self-trust, identity, the conditioning that teaches women to shrink, and what happens when we start stepping into the unknown before we feel completely ready.

Through photographing thousands of women, I became fascinated by the gap between how capable a woman can be and how much of herself she is actually willing to reveal.

Creating a new life HAS to come from the unknown

Why the parts of life we haven't mastered yet are often where our biggest opportunities live.

  • how shrinking shows up in everyday behaviour
  • why visibility can feel threatening even when we consciously want it
  • how identity gets reinforced through repeated behaviour
  • why confidence often follows action rather than preceding it
  • simple ways to practise taking up more space

Visibility isn't only a personal problem. Businesses shrink too.

I also work with founders and businesses whose work is better than the way they currently present it.
I help identify the gap between what a company actually is and what the outside world currently sees — then clarify the positioning, messaging and visual direction so the brand catches up with the business.

"It's not possible for her to be anything other than authentic, and when she shows us it's safe to be ourselves, all the best of us comes out to play."

— Zoe , Wales

"I sat there and realised she was describing my exact life. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it, then everything changed."

When you don't know what's going to happen, is when you can change your life.

Your ego wants to keep you small. a space to become who you need to be seen.

Finish everything you start
Break your cycle of halfway quitting.

Finally not letting 'who's watching' shrink their course of action.

women who once refused to be seen

The cycle ends here. The culture changes when we all stop shrinking.
